If you are looking for a career that utilises your great communication and interpersonal skills as well as your desire to help others in the community, then this CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services qualification from Industry Skills Training could be a great career step. This qualification is also ideal for people already working in the community services sector who wish to expand their knowledge in the field and further their career.
The course will teach you essential skills required for holding positions involved in community services, case management and social housing that focus on management, coordination and delivery of person-centred services to individuals, groups and various communities.
By acquiring skills such as facilitating workplace debriefing and support processes, managing legal and ethical compliance, assessing and promoting social, emotional and physical well-being, providing advocacy and representation services and development and facilitation of all aspects of case management, you will be able to confidently perform in a range of community services positions across a broad spectrum of organisations.
This qualification will also enable you to work autonomously under broad directions from senior management, as well as to oversee the work of junior staff members.
This course if offered at our Malaga campus (full time Mon – Fri), and our Joondalup campus (3 evenings a week Tues-Thurs).
There is a minimum work placement component of 100 hours.
