When you graduate, you’ll receive a Master of Business Administration (Cybersecurity) from La Trobe University.
Cybersecurity continues to be an emerging area; as we’ve progressed to more remote work and trade it’s more important than ever to ensure company software and practices are protecting the organisation and intellectual property. Cybersecurity careers are in high demand and there is a wide industry and organisational need for cyber expertise.
This specialisation won’t enable you to be a cybersecurity technician, but it will enable you to manage a cybersecurity team with core skills. You’ll develop the ability to be the connector behind the scenes between the business needs, client needs and what you can actually deliver. Almost like from an account manager perspective. You’ll be able to develop a team with both business acumen skills and soft skills, crucial to communicating the security needs of a business while being able to measure commercial impacts.
This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,435 (2024-25 financial year).
