Please note: A minimum of 200 hours mandatory work experience is required for this qualification. Work experience must be undertaken within a community services workspace. Learners who are in full-time employment in community services may be able to meet the work experience requirements through their current role. Talk to our trainer to review your
work role prior to commencing the course to see if your workplace can be used to demonstrate the required competencies and satisfy work placement hours. Learners who are not currently employed in a relevant community services organisation will need to find their own work experience placement with an organisation approved by Skills Generation.

What You'll Need to Get In

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, however it is expected that students have access to a computer with word processing, email, Zoom/other, PDF reader capabilities and an internet connection.

Students must also have sufficient technological skills to be successful in an online learning
environment.

Learners choosing the Case Management specialisation should be working or have
worked in Community and/or Health Services.

To be eligible to access a VET Student Loan, students must demonstrate academic suitability by providing evidence of:

  • Australian Year 12 Certificate of Education; or
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) diploma; or
  • Successful completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate IV or
    higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English), or at a level in a
    framework that preceded the AQF that is equivalent to level 4 or above in the AQF;
    or
  • Display competence at Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both
    reading and numeracy. Skills Generation assesses a prospective students academic
    competence using the Australian Government approved assessment tool ‘Basic Key
    Skills Builder’ (BKSB).

Government-funding is available for eligible Queensland students. Students must pay a co-
contribution towards the cost of the course, which is a maximum of $300.

Total cost of this course is $5,999 for students paying Skills Generation directly. Payment
Plans with the option for weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment instalments are available.

Vet Student Loans are also available for eligible students. Vet Student Loans create a debt
that must be repaid to the Commonwealth, and includes a 20% loan fee added to the course
fee. To access a VET Student Loan, the course fee is $8,500 plus the 20% loan fee. Please
