The course is available as weekly classes on campus in Carnegie or Warragul, Victoria, or online (recommended only for current Disability Support Workers). If you aren’t working in a related role, simulation options may be available.

This course is ideal for people looking to start studying for their disability certificate qualifications who do not meet entry criteria, or for people already working in the industry who wish to up-skill without having to tackle a certificate-level qualification. You will learn essential industry skills such as how to facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability, how to communicate and work in health or community services, how to provide individualised support and how to follow safe work practices for direct client care.
